Project Output

Specific deliverables are defined at the end of the project.

* Generic engine through which specialized modules can be developed.
* Open source medical software for General Primary Health Care, including modules of Pediatrics, Women’s Health and Epidemiology.
* Pediatric module, including tools to monitor key parameters to help achieve MDG 4 (reduce child mortality): e.g. growth chart, immunization screening,
* Women’s Health module, including tools to monitor key parameters to help achieve MDG 5 (reduce maternal mortality): e.g. prenatal visit screening, weight gain chart, peri-natal education.
* Epidemiologic module, including tools to monitor key parameters to help achieve MDG 6 (combat HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases): e.g. immunization screening, laboratory test screening, epidemiologic profile of the patient population.
* Test of the GEM by the quality assurance team.
* Field test of the specialized modules by local Primary Care Doctors.
* Evaluation and monitoring results of the GEM and specialized modules.
* Regional dissemination to participating countries through international conferences and workshops.
* Field testing of PrimaCare by selected Primary Care Doctors of participating countries.
* Intermediate and final project reports to APDIP.
* Technical and user manual in English.
